NEW PHONE!

I finally got my new crackberry!!! It's the new blackberry 8900 from T-mobile It was a valentines gift to and from myself. hehe. I have been waiting forever it seems like for the Storm or the Bold to come to T-mobile. I really wanted either one of those but I wasn't ready too leave t-mobile just quiet yet. Anyways the 8900 is sexyyyy; it looks like a combination of the bold and the curve. I love it!!

SNOWBOARDING

This past weekend I was in Killington, Vermont--snowboarding!! Yes snowboarding, it was my first time and it was awesome, something I definitely have to do again. The first day we did nothing but the bunny slopes all day--pretty lame, I know. The second day is when things really picked up, we went on the ski lifts; let me tell you the ski lifts are scary!! It doesn’t stop for you to get on and off. You have to be ready to hop in at the right moment to get on and you have to be ready to slide off on your board when getting off. All the while you only have one foot strapped into the board! Sadly, I must say; I feel every damn time getting off. The green slopes, I did pretty well on. The one blue slope I did--I completely wiped out!! I had my glasses on under my ski goggles (can't shake my inner nerd) and my glasses CRACKED when I wiped out!! I ate the snow on that fall. And for all the snowboarding junkies out there, there is always the black diamond. I for sure was not going down those slopes. Besides my glasses cracking I had a great time and recommend everyone try snowboard. I guarantee you will fall a lot, but to me it was worth it.

5K

Hey guys,

I participated in a 5K run in Prospect Park just about a week ago. The cause was for Arthritis. My littlle cousin who is turning 3 has been diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis in her knees. She was the sponsor child for this event. This was their first annual run for Arthritis in Prospect Park. It was a good crowd that showed up, hopefully each year it brings more awareness and more people out. Overall it was a great cause to come out and support for. Thank you for all that did!

--Just for all you guys wondering I ended running about 2/3 and walking the rest. I came in 47th at a time of 51:51..hopefully next year I will improve

Footprints

This poem/prayer means a great deal to me, its special to me. Hopefully you will see what I mean..

Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream...
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before us,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
There was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life
This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You would walk with me all the way;
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
There is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why in times when I
needed you the most, you should leave me.
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious

child. I love you, and I would never,
never leave you during your times of trial and suffering.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you

Jazz

Hey Guys,

I am a bartender during pre shows and intermissions at the Lincoln Jazz Center and I just wanted to share this website with everyone who is interested in Jazz performances, culture, history as well as programs for children, teens and adults, for you guys I recommend checking this website out. At the Lincoln Jazz Center they have a variety of performances and events. The venue is very nice and the views of the city are amazing.

They also have the Dizzy’s Club where you can sit down and enjoy an excellent meal and drinks while listening to a live jazz band! I have both eaten the food (the Red Velvet cake is amazingly delicious) and listened to the bands and the experienece is awesome! They charge a cover usually ranging from $15-30 pp. If your looking to go I get in for free plus 1 GUEST..

WELCOME!!

Hi All,

Welcome!! This is my first time ever writing a blog, I figured I'd give it a shot, I have nothing to lose so why not?? It might even be beneficial to jot some of my thoughts down. I am a recent college graduate; May 2008 and I am on my GRIND trying to find a job in this bummer recession that we are in, its rough out there. I guess for me I’m just trying to stay afloat and just taking it day by day. Well I’m going to keep it short and sweet on this one.

More to come on the Life and Times of Pia

Yours truly
